The iPhone is surely a boon to the world of modern technology. 20 years ago, if you would've told me that I would be able to watch videos and communicate with people through text messaging, I wouldn't have had the understanding to comprehend it.
It's hard to separate a technology lover like myself from my iPhone, since I realized how valuable a tool it is for many things in my life. From simply keeping to a good schedule to communicating with clients through e-mail, the iPhone has proven its value to me several times over. When it comes to business networking, I find it to be just as valuable. The following, are 5 iPhone apps that I personally use to help me in business networking and general communication with my network.
1. Dragon Dictation App
The Dragon Dictation App is extremely valuable to me because I am on the road quite a bit. Answering e-mails and communicating with my clients and colleagues is a lot easier when I can simply talk into my phone, have it automatically convert into text, and then send my messages. How does this relate to business networking? Simple, I can stay in constant contact with my new associates with the ease of simple speech. This is opposed to slaving over a keyboard or tiring out my thumbs when texting.
2. Facebook App
Everyone who's anyone is on Facebook. The Facebook iPhone app is one of my favorite apps. It makes it very easy to communicate with all of my friends as well as business connections. I am invited to quite a few business events locally and I like to send invites as well.

3. Linkedin App
The Linkedin app makes it very simple for me to stay connected to new business associates. It allows you to do many of the same things that the website can do. I'm able to log into my Linkedin app with the touch of a button and send connection request to anybody who is on the network. And yes, I send and answer e-mails using the Dragon Dictation app. Simple.
4. Twitter App
If you are not using Twitter, I definitely recommend it. It's a great way to prospect and keep your followers and friends updated on your business activities. Since I write a lot of articles, they are posted immediately to Twitter for all to see.
When I am networking and hand out my business card, you guessed it, my Twitter address is on the card. This is a great networking tool because anyone who is already connected to Twitter, can follow me and learn more about my business through my updates.
5. Sales CRM App
This app is great for keeping track of new associates and potential partners. I use this app to enter the information of people I am currently conducting business with. I can set deadlines and enter project oriented information in it. It seems that I am always on the go and having something like this in the palm of my hand makes life a lot easier.
So, these are the 5 iPhone apps that I use to assist in my business networking activities. I guess you could say while I love my computer, I can't carry it in my pocket. Plus, the iPhone is so much fun!
